Lunar
The LUNAR lighting sculpture differs from the MOON as it.s a flat piece of glass rather than convex, it’s silvered and backed so it’s reflective and it’s only lit around the edges like the ‘airflow’ which is the natural, multi-colored glow around the horizon point of a planet where it’s atmosphere meets space. It is produced by atoms and molecules in the upper atmosphere interacting with sunlight.
Frames are constructed from solid hardwoods but can be finished in a variety of ways from clear oil to stains such as ebony or gloss lacquer (in any solid colour) or finally gilded with 12 to 24 karat gold leaf (original, white, rose etc) or pure silver leaf using a gilding technique.
