U COLLECTORS CONSOLE with ENGLISHRY MARBLE TABLTOP

A console that appears it’s made of 3 forms: the slab tabletop is offset by oversized curve of the U and L legs that appear as they protrude through the tabletop. The tabletop is fixed to the wall by pins (see etymology below) and looks like it’s made of marble but is in fact a drawing on gesso inspired by Hogarth and Constable called ‘ENGLISHRY Marble’. The legs that protrude through the tabletop are for displaying collectors objet but are actually removable plinths that align with the legs using concealed magnets. The ENGLISHRY marble gesso can also be copper etched and oil painted for colour. The gesso composition and drawing takes 50hours.
